Best Works of Aubrey Beardsley (Dover Pictorial Archive Series)
Published in Paperback by Dover Pubns (September, 1990)
Average review score:

Hey, take a peek at this.Inexpensive collection of Beardsley's black & white illustrations, mostly taken from other Beardsley books in the Dover catalogue. Some erotic penwork, but Aubrey's "obscene" art is quite tame by today's standards. Some of it even adorned the covers of magazines in his own time. Of course, the big value of this collection is that it's copyright free. You can use these illustrations in your crafts & collages or scan them for your websites. So, if you like that old decadent Nineties style (I mean 1890, not 1990), this book is one window you can peek through.

Biancabella and Other Italian Fairy Tales (Dover Children's Thrift Classics)
Published in Paperback by Dover Pubns (May, 2001)
Average review score:

Very Interesting!...I had to do a report on Italy and to spice it up I used a few of these fairy tales. They were so interesting to read, and they were also really exciting! This book was really great!

Big Book of Floral Charted Designs (Dover Needlework Series)
Published in Paperback by Dover Pubns (January, 1997)
Average review score:

A good basicHeftier than other Dover Books (89 pages of charts), this book contains a selection of charts for a wide variety of flowers. The charts range from small very simple single blooms to large complex designs. Having worked several of the designs, I consider this book a good buy. One advantage is that there is no backstitching on most of the designs and no need for it. A couple of drawbacks: there are no photographs of the finished designs, and the grids are not always in in 10 point which can cause problems with sizing if you're not aware of this.

A Boy's Will and North of Boston (Dover Thrift Editions)
Published in Paperback by Dover Pubns (December, 1991)
Average review score:

Robert Frost is greatThis has to be Robert Frost's best piece of writing. I've never read poetry this great. I would really recommend it.

The Cavalier Poets: An Anthology (Dover Thrift Editions)

Challenging Problems in Algebra (Dover Books on Mathematics)
Published in Paperback by Dover Pubns (June, 1996)
Average review score:

A good resource for math teams and algebra teachersWhile this book is obviously a good resource for math teams (and apparently the audience towards which the book is geared), the book is also useful for teachers of regular algebra classes. While some of the problems are considerably beyond the grasp of all but the most gifted students, others lie more reasonably on the more challenging side of what "average" students are capable of. Solving these problems really encourages students to mentally stretch more than the average story problems in a textbook, and the level of achievement students feel after solving one is truly gratifying. I've found these problems to be especially good for small group work or "team" competitions.

Charted Seashell Designs (Dover Needlework Series)
Published in Paperback by Dover Pubns (July, 1990)
Average review score:

Charted Seashell DesignsThis is a classic chartbook for needleworkers wanting individual seashell patterns to work singly or to incorporate into their own designs. The patterns are for both large and small seashells (though mostly small), and there are suggestions for borders and repeat patterns. The book contains basic cross stitch and needlepoint instructions for the beginner, and a floss conversion chart. The booklet is well worth its price--its only drawback is that only the four seashells on the covers are displayed in color, a problem if you want to combine patterns or have problems visualizing a completed design from a black-and-white chart.

Chelkash and Other Stories (Dover Thrift Editions)
Published in Paperback by Dover Pubns (May, 1999)
Average review score:

ChelkashChelkash is a very deep story, which involves a thief named Chelkash and a young man on he finds on the street and hires. The story focuses on the use of the ocean to reflect moods and events as well as the importance of money in our society. The story leads one to question how far one would go for money. The book is much deeper than the story. One must take the time to think about it before the meaning becomes clear or one can simply enjoy the story which is a page turner.

Mazes reviewFor the price, it was a great stocking stuffer for my 5 year old. He WAS done with it within about 20 mins. Short but sweet. The book and this review, that is.
